Yiliang Ding’s group is working on the functional roles of RNA structure in living cells. Her group developed novel RNA structure profiling methods and revealed the roles of RNA structure in diverse RNA biological processes such as translation, splicing and miRNA mediated degradation. Ding lab take advantages of the plant system to explore the impact of RNA structure on the plant growth and development as well as plant responses to stress.
Dr Yiliang Ding is a molecular biologist at the John Innes Centre. Since 2014 she has been a group leader, with a David Philips Fellowship. Prior to her move to the John Innes Centre as a group leader, Ding worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Penn State University. Ding spent two months in the lab of David Lilley at the University of Dundee between November and December 2009.She studied for her PhD at the John Innes Centre from 2005 to 2009.
