• Range of technologies including spectral analysers and sorters
• Self-use analysers (after training): 9 high-end analysers are available for use by BI and external scientists
• A cell sorting service: Utilising our 9 high-end cell sorters a team of experienced cytometrists operate these instruments as part of a service for Babraham Institute and external scientists
• Expert advice is available on experimental design, training on machines, post-acquisition of data, help with interpreting data and producing figures for publication.
• Modular Flow Cytometry Training Courses - These modular courses are linked and have been designed to build up knowledge of flow cytometry to ensure that the delegate is confident to design, carry out, analyse and present their flow cytometry data.

Expertise & Advice

Headed by Dr Rachael Walker, the knowledgeable flow cytometry team have a combined cytometry experience of over 30 years and extensive knowledge in a variety of flow cytometry applications. Within the facility there are both self-use analysers (after training) and cell sorters that are run as a service. Expert advice is available on experimental design, training on machine, post-acquisition analysis of data, help with interpreting the data and producing figures for publication.

Consultancy work on panel design, buying your own cytometer and bespoke training in flow cytometry is also available.
